Atoms

Why are atoms so small and how is everything made up by atoms?
What is an atom made up of?

don't know why they're so small, but atoms are made of particles called protons, neutrons, and electrons.

Those particles are made of quarks.

If you were to look at a picture of an atom, it looks a lot like a solar system. I kinda think that quarks will look the same, and if we ever could see all the solar systems, they'd look the same too.

Thanks! but whats a quark?

A quark is something even smaller than an atom. There are six kinds of quarks, and depending on how you mix up a few of them, you get either a proton or a neutron.

I meant to say, even smaller than a proton or neutron.
